Food Jug thermoses are the answer to the needs of people for whom sandwiches and a hot drink are not enough. Designed in such a way that it is not only possible to fill the thermos cleanly with food, but also to reach even the bottom with a spoon. The wide inlet for this purpose necessitated the use of a large closure, which traditionally for Esbit products is a full-fledged vessel - here a bowl is used in this capacity, from which soup or a one-pot dish can be eaten in very civilised conditions.It will prove its worth on cold days on the trail or on the ski slope, but also when working outdoors or even during a long wait at the fishing ground. As well as being high, it is also excellent at maintaining the low temperature of stored foods. This thermos will therefore prove its worth in winter as a source of warmth and energy and in summer as a supply of energy and refreshment.
It has excellent thermal insulation (for both hot and cold liquids) with high resistance to mechanical damage. The matte black non-slip coating gives a firm grip even with thick gloves. Inside, the thermos is coated with a thin layer of silver - this has an antibacterial effect and makes it easier to maintain hygienic cleanliness.
A noteworthy solution is the use of a safety valve button in the construction of the cap - pressing it before unscrewing the cap releases the excess pressure (often generated while storing a hot meal/liquid) practically eliminating the risk of 'shooting' the cap or hot steam, sometimes accompanied by hot content splashing to the sides.
The contents (water, 98ºC) were at temperature after:
* 6 hours - 75ºC
* 12 hours - 60ºC
* 24 hours - 45ºC
The test was conducted at 20ºC (+/- 2ºC).
