A spring-loaded knife of the type OTF (Out The Front), that is, with a blade that extends from the front as a result of the release of a taut spring. Designed by Raimund Lhotak, an Austrian knifemaker.
.
The head with recurve profile with deep concave grind was made of tool steel D2 hardened to 58-59 HRC. In the closed position, the knife is protected from accidental opening by a adjustable fuse..
To open the knife, simply push forward slider located at the beginning of the handle. Moving the slider backward will tension the spring and close the knife, but before doing so, you must release the lock located just at the blade's outlet.
The handle is made of aluminum coated with a titanium-based coating. Everyday portability is facilitated by a spring-loaded steel clip.
The blade is made of stainless steel.
NOTE - contrary to 'urban legends' spring knives can be legally purchased, owned and carried. Polish law does not impose any restrictions on knife opening mechanisms, just as there are no restrictions on the shape and length of the head. Other countries may have laws restricting or prohibiting the carrying of knives of particular types - if you are traveling abroad with a knife, it is worth familiarizing yourself with them.
