The axe head is made of forged carbon steel hardened to 51HRC. The wide, wedge-shaped blade is set on an ergonomically shaped handle made of durable fiberglass-reinforced composite. The handle fits perfectly in the hand, thanks to its textured surface preventing it from slipping out of your hand.Included with the axe is a blade guard with a locking mechanism, which can also serve as a handle for carrying or hanging the tool.
