Made by IMI Defense, the flask is designed for AR-15 series rifles equipped with a Commercial guide. It is made of impact-resistant and lightweight polymer in black. The IMI Defense STS uses the Leaves Tension System (LTS) to improve the fit of the slide, reduce noise and stabilize the flask. The flask is equipped with a rubberized foot to prevent the weapon from slipping, and a large release button thatóry been shielded by a skeleton to prevent accidental release. A sealed battery compartment (two CR123 batteries, one 18650 rechargeable battery) is located at the bottom.
The IMI Defense STS flask has been adapted for mounting a tactical suspension in two standards:QD port and two longitudinal holes for interlacing the straps of a classic suspension.
