The gas replica of the WE-PDW assault carbine is made of metal and plastic. The elements made of plastic are the pistol grip. Other elements including the body, barrel, magazine, front grip and the flask guide are made of metal.The PDW is equipped with a 22mm dorsal RIS rail, a set of front RIS rails and an adjustable buttstock. On the upper RIS rail mechanical flip-up sighting instruments have been mounted.The replica is equipped with a magazine latch that allows the magazine to be released from both sides of the rifle, as well as a double-sided fire selector, so it can be used comfortably by right- and left-handers.The flask, finished with a non-slip textured foot , is folded to the right side of the body. The flame suppressor has been mounted on a 14mm left-hand thread, which makes it possible to attach a sound suppressor in its place.The carbine is equipped with a Blow back recoil system, additional realism is added by a new system introduced by the manufacturer, the so-called Open Bolt. EC replicas with this solution do not have a brass insert in the breech chamber. As in the flammable original, after firing the last ball from the magazine, the lock locks in the rear position.
