The BI-3981M is a shortened version of the M4 ideally suited for CQB type operations. It was made of metal and plastic. The SF-type flask, pistol grip and RIS rail facings were made of ABS. Such elements as the replica's body, outer barrel, dummy gas tube,RIS rail system, adjustable reloading lever, hop-up chamber, tactical suspension eye, magazine and flask guide were made of metal.The carbine has an adjustable hop-up system, which we can access by pulling back the reloading lever, which opens the flap of the shell ejector concealing the adjustment knob.
