Folding pocket knife from the American company Kershaw qualifies by an all-metal construction and spring assist blade opening.The blade with amodified drop-point profile is made from a combination of carbon steel, with increased chromium content, D2 andSandvik 14C28N steel. The head features a thumb-operated peg on the blade, which makes it easy to open the knife with one hand. In addition, the blade has a flipper thatós simply pushed with the index finger to instantly open the knife.Opening is assisted by Kershaw's patentedspring-operated Speed-Safe mechanism, which makes the knife open almost like an automatic. In the open position, the head is locked with a Frame-Lock type lock. The handle facings are made of 410 steel.
